How To Use Garage Band

1. First you open up garage band by clicking on the guitar at the bottom of the screen before clicking on either movie or loop. we chose movie as we were playing our music over the movie 10 things i hate about you

2. After this you open up the film from finder before dragging it into the slot on garage band which says drag movie here

3. After you've done this you should delete the movie sound by clicking on the track of movie sound and then clicking on the back space button to remove it.

4. after you've removed the movie sound you can add music and foley effects by clicking on loop at the bottom right which will open up a range of sounds from musical instruments to foley effects.

5.Then click on the desired sound at the top right which will open up a range of different choices for each particular category of sound i.e guitar, piano, foley effects.

6.As it opens up in the bottom right corner you can select the specific sound by clicking on it which will play the noise so that you can experiment with the options  to decide which option you want.

7.once you've decide upon which specific sound you want you can drag it into the space below the film at the top.

8. once you've collected a range of noises you can adjust the volume of each by dragging the volume bar on the left down or up  to a suitable volume, however above 0 decibels is not recommended as the music begins to distort.
